One Day With Penang...

After some great days in Ao Nang took we a mini-van to Penang to meet up with Sam and Summer which had invited us to stay with them after they had read about us in the newspaper. We stayed in there restaurant och they had a superquiet kitten who was running around whole day and just played.

We did alot of things in Penang, but the maingoal was to find a bicycle for Maria and we did it the second day after a whole day of searching. We were supposed to start skating the day after but my cousin Hannes and his girlfriend Marie came so we stayed one more day. That didn´t happen because I got sick so we had to stay for some more days, but it didn´t mind because we had such a great time with Sam and Summer. We spend the days with searching for a bike, looked at different parts of town, had an interview with a chinese newspaper and eat good food. We tried chedul which is a local dessert chendul, it´s like a slushie with green coconutmilk and something that looks like spaghetti and it tasted quite different from anything I ever tasted before, it tasted pretty weird. The evening we spended at the cinema, we teached Summer and Sam to longboard and inlines, inlines was the most difficult for both of them.

We had six really good days which was first supposed to only being two, but that´s life. Ypu can´t always plan everything and it´s nice that we have so many days to finish our trip so even if you get sich for some days you don´t have to be stressed.

One Day With Songkhran...

The last day in Thailand was an awsome day, because it was the day of Songkhran, the Thai newyear. You celibrate it with a big watergun-fight and it´s really big, whole Thailand has it. We had been invited to join a team and we were 6 adults and alot of children. We had bought alot of ice so our water should be icecold.

Now what´s cooler than bein cool?
Ice cold
I can´t hear ya
I say what´s cooler than bein cool?
Ice cold

We started around 11am and we went on until after the sunrise and it wasn´t even one dry people on the streets so it was a wet day with alot of buckets made of rum, coke and redbull.

So if you ever have the change to celibrate Songkhran you should do it, it´s great and probably the most fun you ever had.

One Day With Ao Nang Divers...

On the second last day in Thailand we were offered to go diving with Ao Nang Divers and we said yes directly. They are one of the two biggerst divingcentre in Ao Nang with a massive diveboat. We went to Anemone Reef and Shark Point but we had some bad luck with the visibility and pretty strong current so no bamboo sharks today, they ususal lay and rest on the bottom at Shark Point but because of the currents they don´t like it. But even if we didn´t see any sharks we had a great day with nice peoples, good food and diving.

One Day With Km...

We are finished with Thailand now and we skated 1150km. It wasn´t really what we had thought (we had counted with 1500-2000km) but with my injuries (strained back in Sing Buri and raches from the heat so I couldn´t skate for 1,5 months) plus that we couldn´t skate in southern Thailand because of all the bad things that going on there. Our goverment says that we can´t skate there and if we do our insurience won´t cover us.

One Day With Manta Point & The Lagoon

The day came when it was time to dive with Manta Point. They picked us up in the morning at The Cliff and drove us to the beach. The boattrip only took 45min, instead of the usual 1-2 hours, because we were diving local this day. The dives were not the best we've done, and the visibility wasn't good. But we saw things I haven't seen before so it was cool. We say Kuhl's stingray, a sea horse and a pipefish. The people on the boat were all really nice and we got a lot of ideas about where we are going and which islands to visit in Malaysia. In total it was a very good day at sea.

The day after we took our stuff and went to Simons house where we are staying right now. It's utside town so we have rented a motorcycle for the three days we are staying here. Simon got us a good deal on the bike. Tomorrow we move back in to Ao Nang town again.

Yesterday we went to Riley which is three really nice beaches just 10-15min boattrip outside Ao Nang. There we did some cliffjumping, Maria almost fainted so she climbed all the way down again. Then we planned to go to the lagoon which is up in the woods. This resultet in a hell of a climb trip with several 90 degrees cliffs to overcome. There were some ropes to hold on to, but it was scary as hell. Maria is much better climber than me so she had no problems going up and down while I how almost can climb had a really tough time. First we went to the viewpoint there it where alot of monkeys so we took some pictures and went for the lagoon.

It took us about 45-60min to get to the lagoon because I hesitated alot before I climed down, it was easier to go up, but it always is.

After all the climbing we met a really sweet monkey at a climbers place on Riley east. The monkey seemed to have a good life there. He had alot of bananas and nuts and they let him free from his chain once in a while so that he could play.

Tomorrow is diving on the schedule and the day after is Songkhran which is a big waterfestival when whole Thailand has a big watergun war. We have been invited to join a team, so we are around 20-25 people and we have pick-up trucks with loads of water in the back so if you don´t want to be wet, stay inside.
