Kapas is a very small but very beautiful island with wounderful beaches and clear water. It says that the diving here i great, but we didn´t try it this time. Even do we only stayed for one night we managed to go on a boattrip to see babyturtles (9 days) and do some snorkeling around the island. The reason to they collect turtles and have them in a pool is because otherwise almost noone should survive. There are many people who takes the eggs illegal to sell them on the market. It is illegal to take them, but not to have them and sell them so the laws here isn´t that great. Turtleeggs is consider as "delicious food" here ( 1USD/egg) and the ones who take the eggs take all of them so if noone else collect them and take care of them the turtles here will be extinct in a few years. SO this resort collect them and let them live in a pool for one year before they put them back in the sea, right now they hade 72 smallish turtles.

One Day With Kapas...
The plan was to stay three night on Kapas, but we changed our mind and just stayed one night because we want to reach Singapore as fast as possibly so we can spend some extra days in Thailand before we go back home to Sweden.
